Hey all. I decided to trade my obsession of cars from gbody's to wbody's.

I just purchased a 97 gtp, black, 4door, blown trans, 3.2 pully, thrasher intake, slp proflo exhaust, and lowered.

Other than not having a 4th gear, i love the car and i hope to make it as much fun as my monte's were!

I already ordered a bunch of parts for the trans rebuild from IntenseRacing and it should all be done within 2 weeks.
This site seems to be full of people with actual knowledge (unlike alot of other sites) so i look forward to learning alot.

    Welcome to the community.

You are correct, there are a TON of people on here that are very knowledgeable and allow me to point out that Trannyman is on here and in my opinion the nations best 4T65E transmission builder and should be able to answer any questions you have in getting your trans taken care of.

This isnt the correct section for this so excuse me but do your self a favor and take that 3.2 pulley off if thats really all the mods you have before you're engine is also blown. If you have any questions post up in the correct section and you'll be sure to get some reasons why doing that would be in you're favor...

    None the less...

oh yea definitely do that. last thing you wanna do is kaboom your engine. go to like a 3.5 or 3.4 if anything.

Just get yourself the MPS aetup with the 3.5. Then scan and if you have no kr, you can try the 3.4 without having to get it pressed on again. ZZP for about 100 bucks.
