Oh the infamous 3800 series II motor. It was good to me for awhile, now I would just love to set it on fire and roast marshmallows over the flames.. It been getting hot on idle for some time, I've avoided that by not letting it idle. Had the spark plugs changed about 3 months ago, after that it started running rough. It was sputtering, had a loss of power, and fuel consumption went through the roof. I took it to get it diagnosed, when I got the results, I replaced the MAP and MAF sensor. Still running like crap. I tried to drive it thinking maybe the computer needed to reset itself. It over heated, was pouring anti-freeze, and I had to have it towed home. A friend brought over his Snap-On computer and hooked it up. It is still giving a MAP code and when he used it to open up the EGR 10% it flew open to 40%. He also did a pressure test on the radiator to determine if I had blown a hose or if I needed a new radiator, there are apparently a few cracks in my intake manifold, which doesn't surprise me and I'm guessing there has been at least one for quite some time. My question, however, is could the antifreeze getting into the air/fuel system cause the issues that I'm having? The plan so far is to replace the EGR, the intake manifold, and gaskets but I need a little reassurance at this point.

Yes its a good chance that will cause issues with how it runs if it can get into the intake. It also can drain the coolant causing the overheating. I'm guessing the UIM was cracked, right?

Yeah, when he did the pressure test it hissed from about 4 different places.

133000 as far as I know it hadn't been replaced when I got the car in 07. The only thing I've had to do to it are the wheel bearings 2 times and change the heater core.

With that many miles on the car I would replace the LIM gaskets, the coolant elbows and the UIM (with a dorman or ineedparts).
