Its nice to be a part of a large family of Grand Prix enthusiasts! I'm always interested in forum discussions, picking up tips, tricks and troubleshooting to keep my 04 GTP in Tip-Top condition.

I'm a semi-shadetree, currently attempting to diagnose a loud engine knock; its constant from a cold start-up through higher RPMs. I'm afraid its a Rod!!

    Any ideas, tips are appreciated.

Sounds like a rod bearing from your description.

Pull the dipstick, if the oil on it has a glitter all over it, thats a bearing.
