I currently have a 00' GP SE 3.1. Everything on it is in really good shape. No oxidized paint, almost no scratches. Had the passenger floor leak problem but fixed that seal. Runs strong. I'm really wanting a 3.8 supercharged gtp. Would it be best to just buy a different Pontiac with the 3.8 or keep the one I have and motor swap? I work part time at an O'Reillys and the discount I have is *****in. I honestly think the only reason a motor swap came into play was the fact its something me and some buds can do for fun. Whats your guys input? I've done several v6-v8 Chevy swaps. this wont be my first rodeo. I have another car so time is not a problem and I have a lift/shop. Has anyone here done this before?

    Thanks guys,
    LFA

hell yea then do it, buy a gen 1 spoiler and get some badges to go along with it.
Also the bumper on the se is ugly as hell.
It would be easier to buy one but if you have alot of experience then i say go ahead

Very do-able. Get a good running motor and swap it in a weekend and keep your current motor in the garage in case something was ever to happen you could convert back. As cheap as these motors are now and how rare it is to find a 97-03 that hasn't been defeated by cancer I recommend it.
