look at the sludge there, yuck.
I really hope its only the gaskets and not the heads
Now i have to figure out how to clean all the gunk off the manifold since its pretty toasted on there
Brake Parts cleaner or some purple power. Let it soak for a while.
While stuff it apart, clean up the throttle body aswell.
And make sure to put RTV in the 4 corners of the LIM, sometimes people forget that small step.
brake cleaner, and a scraper does well, razor blades to clean up the matting surfaces, then brake cleaner and a rag to wipe it down.
clean any crap you can see out of the heads cooling ports too.
at this rate he will have it up and running my morrning haha
im voting this guy "best noob ever".......:th_thumb-up:
Best i could do as far as cleaning with spray cleaner,i couldn't find a small enough brush for the tight spots
He just strikes me as a guy that knows a little about cars and took the matter into his own hands.
And he works fast lol.
best noob ever fits him perfectly look at what he has done in 2hrs time.
call up oreilly's they should have it in stock
very fast, sh1ts already clean lol
de greaser also works for the nooks and crannys of the lim, then blast it with a garden hose. its what i did to my lim.
Well let just say i own a few ls1 powered cars/trucks...i had a 2002 grandam that has 200k miles and still running but belongs to my sister now.i only paid 1,500 for the 04 grandprix
