Hi everyone I got a 98 gramd prix and it got hot a couple days ago n the thermostat read right before the red I got home right when it happened. A couple hours later I filled the radiator with coolant and water I drove about 6 miles and saw it leaking out coolant so I'm guna replace the radiator. Just yesterday I saw my oil all cream color so I'm guessing its my head gasket .anyone can help me??? I just did the oil change right before it all happend. And I just bought this car 2 weeks ago. Please help if you can.

I would check your lower intake gaskets first, they are more prone to going out before the head gaskets on the 3100.

So I would need a lower intake manifold gasket. So when I replace all the those gaskets no more cream oil? And its leaking coolant from not the oil pan but right back of the oil pan. Any help with this?

You need the metal lower intake manifold gasket. Once replaced the coolant and oil shouldn't mix anymore but the damage could be done. I did it on my grandma's car and her motor knocked for at least 15 min before it quit and ran fine for about a month until she got t boned in it.

What about the leak from under the car not the oil pan but another pan ? Is that just the lower intake manifold gasket causing that to leak?

It's not fun to do. If you never work in cars expect a weekend to do it. Specs are all over the web just Google it and they will pop up

I watched a video on how to do it and it was saying something about moving the dropsticks and setting the valves. Did you do that?

No you just have to loosen the rocker and move the pushrods and then pull the gasket. I leave the pushrods I'm place because they are different lengths so they don't get mixed up

On a 3100 getting it hot is always a bad idea. Tough to say it's an HG or intakes, but I'd start with the intake and expect them to look shot. This is very common. Make sure you put in the metal gaskets. If using fel pro the last character of the part number will be a T.
I drink..so consider that when reading my posts.

Rough idle is a vacuum leak. Did you change the oil? You'll probably have to do it twice.
