my kids left the key on and the battery went dead. after that the cd player will not work and the eject light will not work either. is there a theft lock on it somewhere or a fuse just for the cd player.

prob theft lock know ur code, or have a dealer get it.

04+ don't have the code like 97-03 do.
Theft lock on them is vin matched by the dealer.
Do am/fm work?

It sounds like something internal went bad, possibly the disc drive itself.
If it needs replacement, keep in mind you will have to have a stock stereo programmed. that will run you an hour of labor even though its a 5 minute job. It may be a good time to go aftermarket.

Just a maybe here, but what if the fuse to the 6 disc got popped somehow.
Might be worth it to quick check some fuses.

If all else fails you can get a replacement monsoon 6 disk probably on the forum for not to much and just have the dealer unlike it (last I checked it was $100 or so or go aftermarket but then you'll have to factory in getting the correct modules for stereo wheel controls and chimes etc to work.
