Just recently purchased my second Grand Prix. When I was in high school I had a 97 GTP w/ a intake and pulley. I always loved that car and regretted selling it for years. I came across a 06 GXP w/ 27k miles at a dealership recently and instantly fell in love with the car. After some negotiating I took delivery Wed. night. Haven't been happier seems like its an amazing car and with only 27k miles I know it wasnt ragged on. My only problems with the car:

    1. When I lock the doors with the key fab the drivers door doesn't lock, I thought it was the delayed locking feature but its not. When I put the car in gear and drive all doors automatically lock except drivers. So i figured the power lock motor was messed up, but when u manually lock the door it will unlock like all other with the key fab. Anyone have any suggestions or advice?

    2. One key fab with allow me to remote start the vehicle, but when I use the other one and press the remote start button the alarm activates. Any ideas about this?

Lock, remote start and alarm issues make me think its the bcm going bad. Have you noticed any issues with the windows, radio or anything else?

Nope no other issues at all. The only thing is the remote start activates the alarm on one remote but the remote start works on the other and the the drivers door wont auto lock but will auto unlock.

Another GXP owner! Welcome to the forums. As for your door lock problem its more than likely a bad key fob.

I had the alarm problem when using remote start on one of my key fobs. A reprogram did fix it.
