Is the positive connection infront of the fuse box a good spot to attach power cables for accessories like amps and stuff? The positive on the battery looks a little bit tricky.

What you do is get something like this...
EFX CCLAMP Battery Clamp with Two 8 AWG, One 1/0 AWG and One 4
Is best to go direct to battery, otherwise you're limiting the current by using the cable that goes from battery to fuse block. Just my $.02

Another ption, is if you get a replacement battery that has both side AND top posts, just use the unuse post. The clamp mentioned by coolone does look like a very good option as well.

Ok cool. Would a 340 watt amp be effected much by the lesser current at the fuse box in the mean time?
Yeah I'd love to go all out right away but my battery is fine for now lol.
I also was thinking this after reading your ideas:
Would it be logical to wire an accessory wire to the trunk to a post there? Then I could hook up various things to it when needed. For example I would be using a sub during normal driving but I am also a guitar player...sometimes we hang out in the woods and play acoustic but I was thinking about wiring up an outlet in the trunk for a tiny electric amp so I can shred under the full moon. I have the cigarette adapter plug but it would just be sweet to have one hard wired lol

i got a 500 watt amp, its power is off the fuse box bolt, the ground is on the rear strut bolt in the trunk.

Although i did just realize my battery does have terminals on the front as well. I guess I was too busy looking for my po455 pita to pay that close attention.

you can put the ring on the power cable behind the battery terminal, or run it off the top of the fuse box. i put mine on the box, then bent it like the cable to the alt so its not straight up. i also drilled a hole under the cowl, i removed the cowl and under the windshield is where i drilled, then fed the wire in the hole, and it just came out on the pass side floor. ran it down the side of the carpet to the trunk.
a lot of people like to make a hole in the rubber block on the pass side floor, run the wire down on the outside of the fire wall, but i just didn't like this idea, (wires in this block, and running the wire down the outside of the firewall didn't seem ideal to me at all) so i drilled one hole and it all worked out. i should have taken a pic, but things were just moving right along during the day.

Ok...so the wiring plan is good to go now. Next will be the mounting of the amp and the sub.
I noticed the rear dash has a very good frame that is also the ceiling of the trunk. Would that be ok to mount the sub box to for max Nebraska trunk space? The amp fits on the box so it could all be in one unit. Its tiny so it barely gets warm.
