I wanna know if anyone thinks its a terrible idea to take my GP to columbus OH from Cinci OH... Maybe 105 miles.
It's got 115000 miles and no catalytic converter. Oil and such has been kept up on. Don't want a mechanic to try and work me over.

Yeah it drives fine, but I just got it and was a little worried.
A hundred miles, last time I tried to make it in an old car I broke down.

Unless the car shakes, burns oil, has flat tires, and doesn't run, you'll be fine.

(I commonly take 1000+ mile trips in my GP, no sweat)

You have what most of us consider reasonable/low mileage. If there's anything you have concerns about, please tell us. Because we can't see your car, test drive it or check anything. The little info you provided, sounds like nothing is wrong and it should be fine.

Just check all your fluids, tire pressure, and lights (don't want to get pulled over) before you leave and you'll be fine. The 3800's are some of the most reliable and indestructible engines around. The transmissions aren't even that bad if they aren't beat on too bad. I drove several long trips (7 hour plus highway and back roads) several times in my 05 GP, and it did great, especially considering it's rental history :P

I drove my car to Florida. I live 1 hour north of Toronto. You will be fine. Anything can happen though.

Like I said before, I am pretty sure it's just the catalytic converter is missing. Oh and I have a hole in my muffler. Hasn't broken down or stalled out in the three weeks I have had it.

Half asleep myself, I thought I said something. There's no catalytic converter and there's a small (maybe a quarter sized) hole in the muffler. It sounds a little loud when I am gassing it but that's it. I felt a tiny pull ONCE when I had it in the highway and I really pushed it in the low gears. Lights work fine, and I just bought a bottle of headlight de-fogger, which I think might not be strong enough.
