Pacesetter fit, they have sealing issues. I'm surprised you didn't find that in your searching, instead found they don't fit?
    SSAC have had fitment issues
SD have a couple minor fixable issues
I drink..so consider that when reading my posts.

Pacesetters fit, want pics? I installed the ceramic coated version.
Actually was very easy install compared to what you'll read.

Most people weld the collector that joins the front crossover pipe and rear header together as this is what's leaks.
As Bill would say, easy peasy!

Ebay pacesetter rip offs don't fit without modification.

Why not change the mufflers? It'd be cheaper and achieve the desired effect.

If you check out my header install thread (search my name and "e asy" with out the space) you'll find that I dislike the clamps they use and the firewall needs to move or the O2 needs to move.

If you are just wanting to make it louder then just have a shop weld on a cutout. You can purchase a manual one from Summit Racing for $30.

    It'll sound like crap.

Although that's subjective. My opinon of any exhaust change on these cars is ..they sound bad.

Compare the ones you found to a V8 that's why. And not just at idle but WOT.

Compare to other V6s, the exhaust note from the 3.1L sounds better when opened up, not to mention the other car manufacturers V6s. Compared to all V6s ever built, the 3800 has one of the worst sounds, just the way it is.

    loud and terrible.

but for real, even adding headers won't make it much louder. it's all in the pipe diameter of the catback and the mufflers (or lack there of).
