Hey my names Jesse I'm military from Wisconsin stationed in Florida. Bought my 02 gtp with 80,000 miles a few weeks ago. So far I love the car its a lot like my old 02 ls monte carlo but with the power I wish it had. So far I've done a K and N intake and planning on doing the halfshafts tomorrow but I notice in the write up on here that he drained the trans. So my question is do I have to do that or should I just wait and drain the trans and do the shafts when I do the shift kit. Thanks for any advice look forward to getting to know you guys and pick up some nice deals on used parts. Heres the car

no need to drain the trans to change the axle. if the side your changing is jacked up its high enough to not leak. some times they drip a bit, but not to much should come out.

even on a lift sitting level, only so much will leak out, once the old one is out, pop the new one in asap.
