Hello--

I have a 2005 Pontiac Grand Prix GTP. I have owned it since 2007. It had 24,000 miles on it. Within a year approx., I started having issues with starting. It would start and then instantly die. It would take about 2 starts before it would stay running. It progressively got worse taking anywhere from 5-12 times or more. If I pressed on the accelerator it would start but have horrible issues with performance. It would bogg out something terrible and wouldn't want to go or it would take off like a bat out of to the point where it was almost uncontrollable because it was when you least expected it. It was so bad that my car would dramatically thrust forward and then backward. I felt like I was playing a role in a comedy movie. Generally, from what I noticed, I would have this issue when it was wet out, like raining, wet slushy roads or even high humidity levels. Anyway, my car was looked at and talked about several times with no positive results. Finally, someone fixed part of my problem. After hooking up to a scanner, even though I never had any lights come on, they changed my MAF numbers. Never again did I have the starting issues. However, bogging out and thrusting issues were still present. It happens about once out of every 15-20 moist days. Spark plug wires were changed, oil pressure sensor was changed, which actually caused more issues (another story). You name it and it was probably done.

This issue is never present during idoling, only driving. If I pull over, shut the car off, count to 10, start the car...it runs fine.

Does anyone else have this problem? Can anyone help me? I'm desperate!!!

I know this seems like a long note for a , but this is actually short considering it is 6 years worth of information.
