First things first. I'm happy to be part of the GP club.
I've always liked the style of the Grand Prixs and I now own one
My ride: 04 gt2 no leather, no sunny, 3 buton DIC, after market short ram(I think its a short ram) blue conical filter no air box.
Second thing. I know jack about cars but can learn.
I've owned the gp for 6 weeks, purchased from ford dealership.
    The bad.
Orig alternator was bad, low voltage, replaced 3x with rebuilts in 4 weeks. Ugh. Last one is Wilson branded and so far so good.
Heater was intermitent. Had blower motor replaced, resistor installed and new water deflector all replaced by dealer to elinmate most common heater issues. Now rpms at 2000 driving 50 kph. If I let up slightly in gas she drops to 1500 and holds until I put just a smidge more pressure then she hits 2k again. Rince n repeat. Any ideas?
    P.s. I have full warranty.

Bought 2 year warranty with it. I like the piece of mind. Oh ya stalls ocassionally on startup. Always after short drive in cold weather From what I've seen here MAF and or throttle body need cleaning, they are aware but seem reluctant to clean for free.

Was thinking of that but..... Well I got some reading to do.
Would dirty maf or throttle body give me the above rpm issue? Pain in the ass to go to shop all the time and being without my car for a day or 2. What do ya think just raise hell n say fix it! Lol

Soooo looks like Tranny is shot.
Good news is new Gm factory transmission is going in.
New hvac control module to be installed as well to try and cure fluctations in fan speed.
Here's hoping that's the end of my issues

Thanks! I got rental for a week and advised the dealership I would prefer not to come down their and shove my big black steel toed boots up someones ass. The tech manager told me he remembers seeing those boots and preferred I didn't do that either.
They are getting me a loaned once rental expires. Eta 1-2 weeks b4 I get car back. I just want to drive my own trouble free car.

Soooo got car back on Friday. Here's the scoop. Brand new oem transmission installed. New hvac module and some sort of hvac fan baffle do hicky sensor installed. While fixing tranny they broke the rack and pinion, so I got a new rack and pinion too. The steering is no quite stiff turning to the left. Its fine to the right. I asked the tech supervisor about it and he says it will be like that for a while. Does that sound right to everyone? The tech forgot to fix drivers side wiper washer (doesn't pump fluid) so the tech supervisor is doing that next weekend. If steering is still stiff should I have them look at it again? Not sure if they did anything about throttle body or maf. Not cold enough anymore to replicate the stall issue. Would stall on startup after going for short drive. Run into store, get into car n start it n poof it would insta stall. Give some gas and it would start. *shrugs* your thoughts please.

    Forgot to update.
Steering is fixed, they had to put in another new steering rack! Then yes again the HVAC fan started to do the whole speed up n slow down thing again. In she goes again. New HVAC blower motor new resistor. Works fine again.... sorta, it has done it briefly twice since then.
Does anyone have a clue wtf is causing it? Battery? Wiring? Drunkin midgets?
Any assistiance would be great. If it does it one more time it will go back but I would like to have some suggestions for them so I seem to have a clue. Clunking from ass end too. GO WARRANTY!!! By the time its over they will have replaced everything that makes a odd sound or no sound when it should.

    Suggestions please!
