i have a 2007 grand prix, while iw as driving last night my tire light started blinking and my information center said "service tire pressure monitring system" i went threw the information to see if my tire pressure was still showing but it was not. it just shows dashes, im trying to figure out if i would need to replace my whole system of if its just one of the pressure gauges in one of my wheels, how would i find out which one it is?

Take it too a tire shop, most of them have TMPS scanners to see which sensor is at fault.

Rarely does the whole system fail, my guess is one sensor has died and needs to be replaced.

Some 97 grand prix cars have it where it goes off the wheel speed sensors, 98+ got rid of it.

06-07 was the first year of the actual sensors in the valve stem.

I know my '99 Alero had a system that used the ABS sensors to monitor wheel speed, as ffdp mentioned. too bad they got rid of it.

Anyone know if there is a decent worth-the-money aftermarket tire pressure monitoring system out there?

I look at it once in a blue moon, as long as all of the tires are very close in pressure I figure its good to go. With me being in Canada it only shows in kpa not psi so I don't know for sure what the numbers mean because I'm old school and only understand psi. I can switch to imperial measurements if I realy want to know though. Its funny watching the speedomter drop while driving. Then I get to go faster LOL.
