I have a grand prix gt 2001 with a homemade short ram intake 4inch cone and removed tb screen. What would be the best exhaust set up for the best preformance without spending a arm and a leg? I know removing the u bend would be my first thing but what else I don't know where to start? And please don't tell me to go to modding my 3800 series.

My thought is removing u bend and getting thrush glass pack muffler. But I also want it to sound good too soo help?

Youtube has tons of sound clips with different set ups,

If I could I would get this ZZPerformance - 3 Inch 304 Stainless Catback Exhaust #ZZ-3GPCBSS

Not again..... YOUTUBE IS YOUR FRIEND! http://www.grandprixforums.net/exhau...ead-25955.html
You wont get a v8 sound, you can get a lopey sound from a bigger cam, headers will deepen them a bit, remove the cat if you'd like, removing the resonator will make it raspy, no mufflers will sound like ****. Find a pair of mufflers you like on youtube and play with your resonator size if you wish. I say good day

If I ever decide to go past 300hp, it will be good to already have the exhaust on there right? Being prepared is good right?

Yes, the difference in youtube is definitely different than in person. But if you plan on modding for smaller pulley and such, might as well get headers and go from there. With the headers and potentially a bigger downpipe (and if its catless like Speed daddy headers) then it will deepen the sound a smidge
