Yeah. Idk the cops here are nuts about pulling people over with dark tints. So that's why I want something remotely close to 50%

my fronts are 35, the rears are all 20. 35 not to dark at all.

im not supposed to have tint on the front windows. but the back window i could paint them black is i wanted to.

ive been pulled over 2 times for it, got one ticket, but i think that cop was just board to death.

Yeah. Sometimes they pull people over cause they are bored. Cause they have nothing better to do.

last time i got stopped i was on the high way for a mile or 2 tops, saw a cop on the side, as i passed, he pulled out, i looked at my girl and said "we are getting pulled over soon", shes like why?, im like i dont know lol 2 more miles later the lights were on, and he was on my bumper.

funny part was he said he stopped me for the tint, but when he walked up tot he car and saw me, (im in my 40's) and my girlfriend, he was taken back, i think he thought i was a kid or something lol he cut me loose, never even ran my lic.

crazy thing is he asked me when the last time i was pulled over? im like every other week or so....hes like whys that? well sir i have a cdl lic, so im in truck inspections 2 to 3 times a month, so im handing over my lic like its normal, i think i even gave the cop my medical card just out of habit. lol

Hey guys so I possibly have to get a new MAF sensor and a throttle positioning sensor. Rock auto a good site to order from or is there a better place to get quality parts?

try to buy ac delco or oem parts. the maf i would hit a junk yard and find one for cheap, new they are a lot of money, JY charge 40 ish, and they warranty it for 60 days, if you dont steel it.

also check the wires out on the plug to the maf, if the insulation is cracked or missing, the wires are your problem, not the maf, new pig tails are about 10 bucks brand new. best to cut the old plug off and strip the wires back till you get nice shinny copper wire, then solder the new pig tail on, use shrink tubes to make a nice weather tight seal.

same goes for the tps, try to stick to delco parts. these are cheaper new then a maf tho.

OK sweet thanks. Yeah this has been going on for a while with my car but didn't get bad until today and yesterday. Started up really rocky to where it wanted to quit. Struggled to stay on. My boyfriend had the same problem with his 2000 SSEi Bonneville. He saw that he had a junk yard part(MAF sensor) so bought a new one for 200-300 bucks. Mine only costs me 50-60 bucks on rock auto.

if it stays off till monday im running to inspection, im due in april. get it done asap!

then ill find out if they fail me for the tint on the front window, im sure ill be taking it off. gut feeling. good part is ill just redo then with pre cut tint, vs cutting it my self again. its work to cut it right.

good news is i can get all 4 doors for 25 bucks in any % you want. they even sell whole window kits for under 50, whole car. self installed of course. nice if your up to doing it. love e bay lol theres a link to the place in my sig link. thats my members ride thread.

I wouldn't even dream to do that myself. Im bound to screw something up. Baha. 320 or so for 40% and lifetime warranty. Might be saving up for that so when summer comes I can get it done.

watch enough videos and you will get the confidence. its all about cleaning the glass real good, like Windex and a razor blade, and steel wool.

then a heat gun is nice to have, as you fit the tint on the outside, then shrink it tot he glass, then put it on the inside.

when you see cars with all them bubbles in the back window tint, thats because they never shrunk the tint to fit the glass. i got no bubbles at all in my back window, or brow. the only problem i had was the very first back window i did, the bottom came loose and tore off some, so i had to cut it off to keep it from getting worse. but that was the very first window i did, (ever) the last window was the best one of course, so round two should be a much better job over all. still looks good, never heard any one say it looked bad. most are shocked i did it myself.

EDIT: if you look at all my cars pics, you will see the driver side back window is always open 2 inches, this hides that torn tint lol ill rat myself out lol

    Welcome.

If you start having your trans act up again, Dave's website at 4T65E Common Problems has a lot of good info. These transmissions can be great, but eventually will have issues that may need to be taken care of. If you pay attention to things when it's acting up and address them you won't have an issue with your trans "blowing up", or just being "toast". My original trans lasted 200k. Probably would have lasted longer, but TCC solonoid was going out so I decided to drop in a little bit more beefed up trans so that I could try to make my car a little quicker.

Well I have bare wires for something to do with my temperature in my engine. Idk. I'm not very car savvy. And there's seepage on my radiator. Anything else that should go wrong for me?

wheres said seepage coming from? only so many things to leak really, the cap, the hoses, or the rad side tank cracked, they are plastic.

If your looking at it from the front of my car its on the right top side where there is metal clips. I'm not sure. I'll take a picture of it and I'll show you. I'm not home right now and not with my car. So I'll take one tomorrow and show you. Its not a bad seepage but you can see that there's something there.

that dont sound like a good place. post a pic. could be the rad cracked. plastic you know. cracked tanks seem to leak more when the car is hot, once the pressure builds up.

you can also buy or rent a coolant system pressure tester. it will force the leak to show itself.

Well I talked to a technician I work with about the wires and he said that they were chewed by a mouse. Cool. So just wrapped it with electrical tape for now. Grr.
