Name is Dave I go by dragordie was the name of my drag bike team in the 80s.
Well my story is this. I have been building Jeeps for Rock crawling
For over 20 years. Benched pressed to many ford 9 inch rear ends from the floor
to my work bench and now I have 2 herniated disc with no feeling in my right butt cheek and right leg which leaves me with going in for surgery. So now my doctor asked me to Stop building and wheeling Jeeps before I end up in a wheel chair. So went out today traded my last rig for a 98 2 door GP GT. Done the Bing thing search Grand Prix forums and here I am. Will put up some before and after on this build. Not to sure on what more you can do to a 2 door GP GT so that’s why I am here.
God Bless our American GIs. and all red blooded Americans

Welcome to GPF, there are lots of things you can do to a GP....even after getting back surgery, I have a disc fusion of the L1 S5. Yeah post some pics and start a Members ride thread. Your welcome and thanks for the support.

Just so that you know the pain doesn't completely go away and you lose range of motion, have to find new ways to work on cars. My right leg and butt cheek would go numb and I would fall to the floor when I sneezed. After the disc fusion there is no more numbness, but like I said there is still pain. Hope the Army pays me good for it LOL. I had one herniated disc, sometimes I feel like I should have passed on the surgery, but glad I did it at the same time. Good luck either way.

Welcome man! There's a couple cool things to do, depending on what kind of work you wan to put into the car. Plenty of good reading around these parts.
Irridium spark plugs last 100k mi and work just as well as copper. Copper is a waste on N/A and only lasts 15k mi. Don't use Platinum.
Use 195* tstat unless you can thoroughly explain why not; 99.9% don't need a lower temp.
Almost any oil filter, ever, is of higher quality than ACDelco. Spend $6+.

Doc has me on a fist full of meds (Gabapentin, Naproxen, Percocet, and Flexeril) sure is a lot of crap to swallow for being stupid.
Bad thing is it all happen a week before thanksgiving. This is what added the second disc to kick out. L2 and L4 have pushed out L3 and L5 and L6 is the second one.

Naproxen don't do sh1t for me and Flexeril is weak also, now Percocet is awesome, but very addictive and if you need to make a few bucks, I think the sell for $20 a pill on the street lol!!

Basically it can sound cool with a cam, or make some power with boost.

And the trans doesn't like too much power, so keep that in mind.

whats a bummer is I traded today but didnt get to drive the GP home. during the test drive the blower motor started screaming and than the break peddle went to the floor with no brakes and we are getting the biggest snow fall of the year. But a buddy of mine has the car lot so he is getting everything taken care for me.

Think I will start out slow with stainless steel exhaust system, cold air induction incorporated with a ram air hood.
And depending on what has to be done with the brakes probable spend a shinny dine and give all four corners the brembo brake system

I wouldnt bother with the exhaust system, no power is to be gained. Just do exhaust tips if you want them to look different. And 90% of the aftermarket mufflers sound like poop on these cars.

I think you'd be the first to run brembo's on one of these family sedans lol.

Unless he's talking stainless headers. Which is always good.
