Greetings all, first time post. So in April of 2012 picked up a mint 06 gt with 70k on it.. Have never owned a supercharged car before and will never go back to anything else.. I love this friggin car, lots of grunt for a stock car, I'm hooked on the HUD system and the paddle shift is good for a smile or two. Besides, running PetroCan 94 octane, the GT gets around 710km to a tank.. Lots of grins for $12,500 out the door. Was getting 600km with my grandam. All hwy km's. Just wondering what kind of mech problems I can expect in the future as of right now and almost a year later this car has a 100% reliability rate with zero complaints. If there was one, it would be the powersteering pump hates anything below -25c. What a noise. FYI. With 0-30 syn this car started at -42c when everyone else was getting a boost or plugging in..Also other than the elect. trac control is it possible this car has a mech. traction device as it acts like both tires, under load always spin together and there is no torque steer? Cant wait to hear back from you guys and your experiences.. Thanks.

Killometers per hour? Does not compute! Haha eitherway welcome to the site, be sure to have the transmission serviced regularly (every 50k miles) and around 80K i'd suggest replacing the LIM gaskets.

06+ has aluminum intake gaskets already, he's good there.

    And welcome.

Some people like trans coolers, but the general consensus seems to be that they wind up being added points of failure.
Irridium spark plugs last 100k mi and work just as well as copper. Copper is a waste on N/A and only lasts 15k mi. Don't use Platinum.
Use 195* tstat unless you can thoroughly explain why not; 99.9% don't need a lower temp.
Almost any oil filter, ever, is of higher quality than ACDelco. Spend $6+.
