YES.....if you're going through all that trouble why half ass it. Drop the $50 and at least get the TransGo shift kit. Very simple and helps firm up the shifts a bit. It's not the most aggressive on the market but is well worth it.

Thank for replying. Is there different levels or spring in the kit?

There are no levels in this kit per say but there is a combination of using old and new springs that will help firm up the shifts a little more over the standard TransGo kit. I'd have to go hunting for the directions but what I've done in both of my GTP's is make the 1-2 and 2-3 solenoids look the same. Use spacers as directed and then use the same combination of springs for both. Then for the 4th accumulator I use the 2 springs in the kit along with the stock spring make a total of 3 springs in the 4th housing.

Here are the instructions for a little bit more of a visual.

Here is where you can see that I use the spacers as directed but use Plain, White, Red for both accumulators. This helps firm up the 1-2 shift just a little. You can also order the 2-3 spring that goes above the piston and use that for the 1-2. GM part number 24203977 is for the spring and will also help firm up the 1-2 shift.

Since I used the Red spring in the 1-2 accumulator what I do is leave the 2 yellow springs that come stock in the 4th accumulator and then add the last remaining yellow springs that comes with the kit. There will end up being 3 yellow springs all said and done.

Here is another good resource if you wanted to go the DIY way.
