Dash modification

im trying to put a double din in my 2001 GT but i dont want to just cut out that plastic piece that goes across is there anyone who modifies these?

go to a junkyard buy a dash for 10 bucks and chop that one up

i was thinking about that. but my friend that owns his own motorsport shop type of deal said he would cut it off then bondo it back on lower and paint it for me for 150 all together...idk does that sound worth it?

yeah im thinking im going to...im still trying to get these last guages for the car.

all you gotta do is cut it glue it back into place and bondo and sand repaint maybe 50 bucks in material and a couple hours

thinking thats what im going to do...my car is a forest green what color would look good for the interior to paint?

everything u painted i was going to...and the white to me looks good! but when and if you do paint it blue u should post it on my profile or something so i can see it

oh and what kind of paint did you use like the brand and color? i know its white but was it any specific white?

um rust oleum white lol didnt have a specific name but its for plastics

i literally just put a double din in last night in my grand prix.. ill take pic in a sec.. but i painted mine gunmetel met and it turned out nice

i took out my vents and painted them black. then you just take something metal and heat it up and plastic weld it back in

woahh wait u gotta weld all that back in? mine are clips? or do u mean the actual vents on the bezel?
