The book i had on the car said the engine and transaxle had to be removed as one but i got it out just fine. the head gaskets were blown. I have the engin out and i was going to put all new gaskets in it and the parts it may need but im unsure of what all it would need as i have not clean everything yet. would it be better to get a dif engine for it then do all this work? and could i get any 3800 II and put my supercharger on it or dose it have to be a supercharged 3800 II for it to work?

If you know the bottem end is solid, just get new headgaskets and intake gasket. Would be a good time for a new rear main and oil pan gasket aswell.

And if you wanted just a straight swap with no other modding, you need to buy a L67 or L32 short block (those are supercharged). If you bought a NA bottem end you would have to do extra stuff, and its not worth the time.

Idk if the lower end is good or not im going to clean everying and check the bearings. If i used this engine since i have it out i would want to put a timing set and maybe rings. I also dont no if the heads are warped or anything. I did a cylinder leakage test and it seemed to be leaking air from every intake valve when the tested cylinder was on tdc com.
