My name is John and I just purchased a 2007 GXP. My brother sells cars and got a great deal IMO. Love the car...303hp, paddle shifters, GREAT heated seats, power everything, HUD, Monsoon, 18" wheels, on and on....
I looked at several cars online, C&D, and in person to replace my beloved 1997 S-10 with a 4.3L. Mustangs, GTOs, F bodies...they all seemed so...crude. And the GTO does NOT feel anywhere close to 350 or 400hp, but...
I never really considered FWD due to my only other being a 85 Escort GT and that left a bad taste in my mouth! But my bro convinced my to drive it and...wow! Great fun, great seats, good stereo, subtle performance clues to seperate it from the base models...but "sleeperish" none the less. The handling is impressive for a FWD. Much like my buds 85 WS6 TA when it was new except it doesn't hurt my spine and kidneys! I feel very coddled as compared to S-10 or the Freightliner. Huge trunk and friends won't hate me if they end up in the rear seat.
I drive a big rig, enjoy my Honda Magna and Honda jetski, and love my Husky. Ill just be looking for awhile.
