I have a 99 GTP with an engine light on. Driving it around town you wouldn't know anything is wrong with it. But when i get to the highway their is something wrong. Problem is when the car is at 2000 Rpm's and im going up hill, or slightly uphill, its jerky. Its like the car is reving, but not going faster, until i floor it. It does this when its on cruise control or not. More so when it is. I can be doing 90km and then once a hill comes i cant hold it at 90km or it starts chugging/Jerking. The only way to get it to stop is to give it more gas or let off. Its been like this for a couple months and my solution was to always give it more gas before a hill so it never happend. Well Yesterday, I went to pass someone doing about 90km, i went to give it more gas and it wouldnt go faster and it chugged. Also, my engine light was flashing. I kept driving and after that it was fine. I would give it more gas and it would go, no problem. It still chugs/Jerks when i come to a hill. Im not sure if its to do with the transmission, or something is clogged?

Yesterday kinda freaked me out enough to look into it. So i hope someone can help before i take it into the shop after the new year.

Thanks in advance. -- Leanne
