Hey forums! Clearly I'm new here, so let's start with an intro. I'm 18 and live in a big city in the middle of Canada. I bought myself a clean 2000 GP GTP with silver mist paint. This is my first serious car (I have a Durango to commute with and have had a few other vehicles since my 16th) and I plan to add numerous mods to my GTP and have a little fun while doing it. So far all I have done is fix the e brake and some body work. I'll be browsing these forums for a lot more ideas! Pics will be posted soon and I'm looking forward to conversing with some widetrack lovers about ideas for my fun toy!

You said the car was clean, why are you doing body work to it if it was clean?

Couple fender well rust spots, nothing major. I tried my hand at fixing the rock chips on the hood didn't turn out so well but I plan on replacing the hood in the future. As for the "clean" part I'll be sure to post some pictures. The engine was a turn on when I bought the car.

Welcome man... I had a brand new 2004 Mustang 40th anniversary edition 3.8 V6 (as fast as the GTP) when I was 18..try to stay out a trouble, all I got to say hehehe ...... Hard to do with all that HP and being 18 (I got pulled over 12 times in 2 weeks ^ . ^ )

I got a old pic somewhere.....

Having a red mustang, did not help the getting pulled over thing. ^ . ^

The 01-04 v6 were about the same power wise as the GPGT and any race would depend on driver mod stock vs stock. 05+ the v6 had about 10-15 more hp so unless the driver sucked the Stang would win.

Fast and 5.0 especially when talking about foxbodys or early SN95's should never be used in the same sentence.
