    Two part question:

Every time I turn my car off, I hear a belting squeaking as it slows down, time for a new belt or dose the belt need adjusting?

Ever since I bought the car, the radio screen has been flashing random symbols and sometimes it say I am playing a disc when I am listing to radio (see picture below). Now the screen randomly turns offs. Do I need to reset sometime or do I need a new radio? However when I turn the radio off, the time shows up perfectly,

It sounds like a bad radio. The stock one in my 91 Chevy did things similar to that awhile back and one day it just stopped. And serpentine belt is a pretty simple easy job. Belt Tensioner is located near the alternator

That is what I figured :/.

Dose that mean, the belt needs adjustment or replacement?

Replacement. Go to local auto parts store and tell em make and model and they'll get the correct one for u. And to replace it you'll need I think a 15mm socket a wrench. I use a breaker bar cause it makes it a little easier to do it ur self

Are you sure it's not your fans making noise when you shut the car off? The belt stops when you shut the engine off and doesn't spin anymore.

I did some trouble shooting today. When I drive at lease a mile then turn my car off I hear the sound. But if i turn my car on then off, then I do not hear the sound. However When I do that the fans do not turn on. I think it might be a fan. Fans only kick on when I drive.

That is funny I thought about making a video, of the eng running. But I can not get video of the eng making the sound, because the sound stops before I get a chance to open the hood, then If i restart the car again and turn it back off I do not hear it anymore. I only hear it when I drive at lease a mile, then turn the car off. I think it might be the fans since they do not turn on when I restart the car, only after driving. I will post a video of the eng running....

I will add it to this post, chargeing my phone right now, it has no juice for taking video....

Update: cancel on the video..think its the fans.

That does sound more like a fan. If it bothers u that much u could get a replacement from local parts store or used one from a junk yard

If the fan still works fine if say no. It also depends when the engine is cool so u don't burn your self see if the actual fan wobbles back and forth. I've seen a friend of mines wear out to the point of almost falling of and his was wobbling instead of just spinning freely. Not a common problem though

Alright thanks, I try the wobble thing. Are the fans easy to remove and install? Just in case.

Mine squeaks a little. Not enough to bother me so I just ignore it. They are really easy to change 3 10mm bolts iirc
