Hey guys I'm new to the GTP world. I am in the market to buy a gtp in the next few days. There are a few cars that I will be looking at this week. I have a quick question there is a 99 GTP with a 110k this car is sitting at a dealership its been there since june I drive by this place everyday on the way to work is there anything that could go wrong with the car from just sitting that long? Thanks guys!

    Welcome,
My first 99 sat for awhile and didn't seem bad.. however 3 weeks later it started on fire. not saying they had any correlation but it just worked that way. also check out this thread its great when buying a gtp and i wish i knew about it when i bought mine.

chances are they start all the cars up every few weeks.

on the other hand, dont get sucked in and over pay at a dealer. shop around for a private sale as well. they cost less that way. dealers can be thieves.

Hey guys need some help I went and looked at 98 gtp the car is in good shape other than a valve cover leaking. But 2 things stood out to me no hud and were the boost gauge is suppose to be over the vents. Well it just had a outline of a car? Were these options for gtp? How can I tell if this is a real gtp or a Gt converted?

I have a 98 with HUD and factory boost gauge, not sure though. It could be a top swap. Look at the VIN# and the eighth digit should be a "1", which means it is a GTP/ SC. The GT has the engine code of "K".
