Transgo or Intense, doesnt really matter.

Clean the throttle body and MAF with the correct cleaners.

Otherwise everything else can be covered if you did some minimal mods. (plugs, wires, air filter etc etc)

TB cleaner for the Throttle body, just take it off, its like 3 bolts, it'll likely be black.

The MAF needs to be cleaned with MAF cleaner only, anything else can damage it.

I have CRC MAF cleaner, Im gussing it will work for both, considering the TB and MAF are about 3 inches from each other ??

Different parts yes, but same sensitivity

Sure, use it for both, just remove each one and give them a good cleaning. Scrub the tb or use a rag if its realy dirty.

Spray bottle, turkey baster with tube, or anything to suck it out, then fill up to the bottom of the threads when putting the new oil in.

The old oil does smell and many wimps complain about it, but it doesnt phase me.

Hell yea man, Just clay bar'd it tonight with a coat of race glaze... It'll be dirty as hell tomorrow cuz our wether sucks over here, but at least I'll THINK the wax does something

First in line tho is maintenance..
    - coolant flush
    - shift kit and trans pan drop
    - plugs n wires
    - 180 stat

all easy and cheap mini mods..

i dunno if I asked this , but does this car have the U bend? if not it will save me some $$, and if I gut or pull the cat, will I get a code without a PCM delete?

No I u Ben for the 04+, and yes, from what I have been told, since I asked the same questions is yes it will throw a code, I'm doing the exact same maint before mod stuff to my car, just wait and do headers, the speed daddy's I'm getting are only 220 off eBay, the come with a catless down pipe!

From everything I remember from back in the 3800 days. eBay and SD headers were garbage.... Maybe things changed? Or maybe that was just on my bonneville ssei. ?? So if Thera no u bend where is the most restrictive part of this car and why are ppl still getting knock on a 3.6?

Most restrictive part, anyone correct me if I'm wrong, is the front manifold. Some people say do a powerlog and down pipe with high flow or no cat, but for the same price you can the speed daddy headers. And a lot of people on here use them, not many complaints. Hence why I will be purchasing a set.

You will spend more for a down pipe and plog than you will for a full set of headers. Look up blue guys safely modding your 3800!

That was one of the first threads I read lol.

So I know canned tunes are not that great but do they provide much benefit, and how does it work for 06 cars? I'm guessing Zzp will just send me an 05 PCM ?
