We have two black 97 four door GTP's. One of them is nearly undrivable due to rear strut mount rust at the top of the body where the 3 bolts go thru. While searching for a donor car from which I can cut out the upper portion and then weld/bolt in, I was told patch kits can be purchased from some suppliers. If anyone knows this to be true, please point me in that direction. Neither car deserves to die yet. Thanks.

I haven't seen any repair kits. I made my own. If you search "IncREDi-hoopdy" you'll find my 5 speed build and rear strut tower rust my dad repaired.

Thanks. I watched a guy do one on you tube. He just cut a piece of metal to fit, then welded it in. Not sure how easily whole top six inches or so will come out of a donor but I believe that will be a better and stronger method. Ride height could possibly change by the thickness of the metal but it beats what we have now.

Just went thru all the pages of your trans swap. Incredible amount of work you did. Wish I had your youth - and your Dad. As one of the posts mentioned, he has some serious skills. I didn't see it but was wondering if Redline ever got back with those Chrysler part #'s. Oh well, I'm sure I can find them. Thanks again.
