I get a few messages last night about what happened over at the other grand prix site and thought I'd register and show my support for this one

It's been a while since I've owned a GP haha, Sold my last one for a GTO. Got rid of the GTO and got an LT Suburban.
I'm buildin an S10 right now. Workin on the bag suspension
Other than that... I dunno haha.

I say ban you already for getting rid of the GP and then top it off by getting rid of a GTO. Do we really want him here?

Juuuuust kidding, come one you gotta laugh with me on that one.
Welcome to the site and hope you enjoy the place. We hope to see you around often.

Haha. I got rid of the GTP cause it was eating more gas than my suburban does. I got rid of the GTO because I didn't really need another sports car and the problems that come along with the GTO are way more than I wanted to deal with. I ended up with the burban because we wanted something larger.
But I will admit, I do miss the GP's quite often

Sounds like why I got rid of my GTO this past summer. Three tickets in a few months time was too much for me.

    ^LOL

    Welcome dude.

Tell me about your S10 project your working on.

I have a 1995 GMC Sonoma I'm stuffing a '96 LT1 in that will have a Procharger, upper intake heads, cam, headers so on in it. Figured I would use a 700R4 tranny, and a 8.8 rear end from a 1990's Ford Explorer.

Mine's an 89. I wanted a first gen to hack up first. My plans right now are bag and body drop on 20's hopefully. I'm still debuting on using an old carb'd v8 or dropping an ls1/ls6 in it. More than likely I'll be using the 700R4 as well. Rear end, I have no idea yet. Haven't made it that far into planning. Basically it's stripped down to nothing, I had it bare frame but then put the cab and bed back on out of boredom.
So far I'm running Slam Specialties RE7's up front. Just got my 8 gallon tank, air line and most of my fittings today. I'm probably going with the SD 5 link with RE8's in the back.
It's on jack stands until I can afford to buy the SD control arms (upper and lower tubular) and drop spindles. I'm still working out all the drivetrain plans as well as the interior plans. Trying to focus on one area and gather all the knowledge I can then move to the next.

That sounds like it will be pretty slick when your done with it.

Mine came with a 4 banger and a 5 speed already pulled and tossed in the bed when I bought it for $500.00. Bad head gasket took out that motor LOL, happened to every 2.0 and 2.2 I ever owned as well. When will GM learn how to make a decent aluminum head I tell you.

Thats how its sitting now in my drive way. I have the LT1 and the Procharger for it already...saving for the rest. I plan to paint this truck myself, as I wont put too much time or money into the paint, so when it gets f-ed up I wont cry...as hard as if I paid someone else to do it. LOL

It will be a play truck and a slight work horse when its done. I only plan to lower it slightly, because it will still be needed to pull a car trailer when the RWD Grand Prix project is finished.

Nice, Yeah mine had the 2.5 with the 5 speed in it. I paid $500 for mine as well haha. I stripped it quick. Made a list of all the panels I'll need. Putting all new hardware in it as well. Gotta love LMC Truck. BAG IT!!!!
