So, after many years of procrastination, I finally got my licence in February (got sick of taking the bus all winter lol).

I decided to buy a car and bought myself a 2000 Grand Prix GT Sedan - stock (no after market stuff in it like a deck etc.)

The car isn't perfect. It needs lots of work before it can be safetied because the girl who owned it before me beat it up pretty bad and then let it sit for nearly a year.

Some of the things it needs are new brake lines (theres a leak somewhere, but its at my cousins shop being replaced). The rotors are cooked all around and it needs new pads. The passenger rear needs a new Hub Assembly so I'm changing both rears and maybe the fronts if Im not too broke haha. The car is rusted around the gas tank (needs to be welded). The water pump is apparently going to die soon (the car has 260,000+ km's. The check engine light is on, but I'm thinking (& hoping) thats because the seal for the gas cap is missing.

Im waiting for my cousin to get back to me on Monday to let me know what else, if anything, is wrong with it.

Good thing both my boyfriend and cousin are mechanics or I would be seriously broke & lost as to how to fix all of these issues. But, for $400.00 I still think it was a good deal and there was no better feeling than when I drove it home (except for the brakes having a leak, making it hard to stop lol )

    Thanks guys.

So, where in the world would I find a 1.5 DIN to replace this crap stock stereo. The display light is burnt out (doesn't display the time etc. which is kind of annoying) and I thought it would look nicer to just have a new deck in there, but its proving to be next to near impossible to find something that will fit perfectly.

The double DIN is apparently too big and would require some messing around with the dash to make it fit, and a singe DIN (in my opinion) would look silly because it's too small.

crutchfield.com tells you what will fit in your car and has some of the best prices around. i have a pioneer unit myself, the DEH-33HD, i like it!

    Welcome
I called it the suicide mobile lol. I drove it back at 2am though, so I didnt have to drive too quick and stayed off major roads because I thought it would be better staying away from other cars as much as possible. It was still braking, but barely.

The lines are all fixed now though and I have the Pads, Rotors & Hub Assembly that I'm putting on when I go pay my cousin for the Brake Lines.
