Im new to this site and fairly new to the SC Grand Prix. I had dabbled in the LS1 realm for a couple of years and then got in to the jeeps and 4x4's for a while. I recently just got a somewhat built 02 gtp. The car is a lot of fun and i plan to make some subtle changes this fall but really need to save up for a new transmission. Until then i plan on learning all that I can to actually use all the potential my car already has.

    Welcome.
Had someone done work on the engine before you bought it?

Very good friend of mine wanted to build a 3800 and i had always liked them. I had a fox stang he was after and I traded it and some $$$ and got the GTP. The next thing on my list is to finish out the exhaust and then put her up for winter. Im only running at 3.25 pulley right now and it still has the stock transmission. Unfortunately I don't have the 2k for a built trans so as far as the engine goes i am leaving it alone.

Thanks everyone. I don't think it will be too difficult to keep clean as long as i keep up with it. Having another vehicle to drive in the winter will help. I guess I took off some "rare " factory pinstripe with the pontiac emblem in it this weekend. Haven't been able to find any info to back up the rarity of the stripes though.

Its getting tint in the next couple weeks. Bonus check from work comes in on the 13th and shes getting 20% all around and i am going to tint the tails as well. Would do it this next week but im off to PRJ to let Paul work his magic. I hate that its not tinted though.
