Hi, my name is Rob and(I'm hope I'm not breaking any posting rules;first time on a forum) I just bought my first car a 06'Grandprix GT and I do love it,as it is my first car that found me interesting enough. I do have a few questions on how to take care of my car and what are the best items to get for it.
    1. Supercharger oil (What kind?,type? found in Los Angeles)
2.Tires (the previous owner was lazy there is a patch on the front passenger tire so I'm assuming there the original tires, I was thinking of getting wider tires for my rear tires and just new tires for the front. is that okay? will that affect my brake performance? should I get new rotors?_
3.Rotors (same as mentioned above, I was just wondering since it is a sports car should I have performance rotors/calipers? )
    4. radio ( I bought a monster cable for my ipod for this car but it seems the radio signal is too weak? I get static or if i do get a signal it's from a stopped position. I was thinking of purchasing the I-simple product which would create an aux setting on the factory radio. but if there are other ways I would appreciate any input.

These are just some of the things I'm curious about and would greatly appreciate any input from fellow Gandprix owners that are my elders in this regard. thanks again for reading.

Hi! I learned to drive in a Grand Prix, and when it finally keeled over I promptly went out and bought a new one. Wouldn't trade it for the world.

Someone's going to link you to this thread sooner or later, so I figure I might as well: http://www.grandprixforums.net/safel...car-17482.html

Why do you want wider tires for the rear? You do know your car is front wheel drive? No?

    Welcome to GPF!

    How old are you?

    1. GM/ Delco, buy it at a dealer. 2 bottles
    2. Any tire of your choice
    3. Stock replacement (Rockauto.com)
    4. Dont use transmitters. Get a new headunit with an aux or ipod input.

Welcome to the forum brother! All of the questions seem to have been adequately answered. For the tire inquiry, there is absolutely no reason to make the rear tires any wider than the front ones, I know it'll look aesthetically more appealing giving it a more "muscle car-ish" look but you do not want to mess with that because of traction and stability issues that you may encounter. If you really want to, drop some $$$, find some 18" rims, and get 245/45/18 tires with them. Anyways, welcome to the forums, check out all the great information on the site especially the aforementioned "Safely modding your 3800" and enjoy your stay mayne! Cheers
