    Hello,
my GT slipped and hit the curb pretty bad.. front right (passenger side) suspension ruined. Got it towed to a shop, and they said so far I need an axle, hub bearing, lower front right control arm, wheel, and knuckle. where can I get a whole front right suspension package if there is one? and/or transmission stuff. Please reply back ASAP.

The guy at the shop found dealership parts and gave me an estimate of $1200 without labour, but he advised I get it from a junk yard, and I found some online. What website would be good for my car?

    Thanks a lot

    - Teg

junk yard for the knuckle and the wheel. the rest from internet parts stores will be you best bet, if you need one new strut do yourself a favor and buy 2 new ones for the front. same for the lca's

and tow it home and change it all yourself to to save even more money. those are all easy parts to change. even if you had to buy tools you'd be ahead of the game, and the shop. all you need are jack stands and a jack, and some basic hand tools. <<<<they are on sale all the time for under 100. as a set.

1200 in parts, yeah right lol

Depending on how hard you hit, you may also need a sway bar, and strut. If you hit it hard enough, you could have even messed up the strut tower.

If you want a good price on new parts use: rockauto.com
If you wanna get it all at once from a local auto recycler search: car-part.com
Cheapest and best route to figure out what goes where without breaking more in the process: Junkyard

Another option would be Morad Parts Company - 3800 Motors, Transaxles, & Stock Parts Prices are usually fair and they should have everything you need.

thanks for the quick replies! i went on parts geek before i read about the websites you guys gave me and the total was around $250 for all the parts. haha just saved myself a grand from there! but it would be nice if i could just get that whole corner, but when I went on those websites, it still gives me the single parts. how would I navigate that website to give me the whole thing?

alright so i called rock auto, and i like their website. it's really professional, but they do not sell the whole front side that i need. they just sell single parts, so I will check out some of the junk yards nearby and continue looking around for another day or two. Thanks a lot for your help, and if there are any other suggestions, please post them up!

also, I would do this myself, but I just don't have the time for it. i would love to fix my car myself but I'm just really busy.. but I will be putting on new rims soon, tinting the windows and smoking out the lights at a friends house. he does them all the time and said he'll teach me.

well if you can get the parts, labor is all you're paying, not marked up parts costs.

how do you not have like 3 hours to save all that money?

take the axle nut off then take your brakes off, then the tie rod, then take the 3 top strut bolts off, then the 2 bolts to the lca's and toss it all, then install the new parts.

hell you could bench install all the parts like you took them off and slap it right back on the car too.

then replace the other sides parts when you have more time, do struts and lca's in pairs. but best to do it all at once because you need to align it each time you change parts.

can you tell i dont like to give money away to shops?

i dont know what you do for a living but im sure a days wages are still less than paying for labor, and the parts.

Apparently you've wasted 3 hours at a computer when you could have been swapping the suspension
