Hi everyone, just signed up on this forum today. On Tues I brought my car to a service center which did free diagnostic code reading and found out the following codes were in the computer memory.
Codes present:
13 - O2 sensor circuit open, shorted, or bad
14 - Coolant temp signal low or shorted
15 - Coolant temp signal high or open
21 - Throttle PS / current high
33 - MAP sensor or circuit to high
34 - MAP sensor or circuit to low
36 - IC 24X signal error
41 - EST line Error
42 - Bypass line Error
44 - Lean Exhaust
45 - Rich Exhaust
51 - ECM Prom error
54 - Fuel pump voltage too high too low
86 - Internal ECM problem (A/D) error
99 - Power Management
He also said this car has "History Codes" which are as follows:
34 - MAP sensor / circuit problem
66 - A/C pressure sensor / circuit problem
70 - A/C pressure sensor too high
75 - EGR solenoid 1 problem
76 - EGR solenoid 2 problem
77 - EGR solenoid 3 problem
I bought the car for $350.00 form my neighbour who only put around 10,000miles in the last 3 1/2 years. At time of purchase we were told that my car was owned by an 18 y.o. person who might have driven the car hard (setting some of the codes on it). The car runs great even though it has all those codes on it. Is there anyone who is a mechanic out there that can explain these codes to me so I can get a better understanding of my car.
Thank you
