I just thought that I would join in with the croud and see if I can pick-up some information and knowledge about the '63 Grand Prix I just acquired today. It is an investment at the time so it might go by the wayside so I can devote more time and money into my '67 GTO restoration project. I'll post some pics of the '63 here when I figure out the routine so you can see what the old girl looks like. Thanks for your time and interest and hope to be an active member here to share info and knowledge.

There aren't any regulars to the best of my knowledge.

You'd have a much more informative experience on a b body forum.

We're focused on the w body platform from 88+.

Regardless if it's a 62 or an 08, welcome and I absolutely love the first gen gp's.

I told myself along time ago that I will have a first gen one of these days

love the old GP's only thing i would do to it just by looking at the pics you posted would be to get some period correct wheels and tires on it. some how im sure you bought it like that.

if you were to sell them large wheels i bet you could pay for better looking wheels easy.

whats she got under the hood? any goodies?

98 Buick Regal GS, F body brakes, Caddy STS wheels, tinted tails L36 bottom end, lightly ported heads, 1.95 roller rockers, headers, gen 5 N* 3.0 pulley, FSIC, 42 lb injectors, a BrandonHall rebuilt trans, DHP tuned and AEM water/Meth injection https://goo.gl/gpV5kW

Agreed on the wheels, you could pick up some old rally style wheels for cheap and in dam good condition.

Thanks all for the feedback. I guess that I didn't check things out well enough before I jumped in the pool. Sorry about the misstake. As for the wheels and tires. I bought them on the car as a package deal, The guy wanted 7 grand with the 20's and 5 grand with the stock 14's and GP caps. I haggled him down on the car but had to take the 20" wheels and tires. My son wants me to keep the 20's and I have to admit that they are growing on me but I'm going to take the 20's off and put the 14's and caps on just to see what it looks like. I found a pic of the caps on the internet so if I can get it up I'll show you what they look like. And again thanks for the feedback. Just wait 'til I can tell sunny boy that I\m not the only one that thinks the 14's and caps would be more respectable.

Hopefully you can see the caps I don't quite get the attachment process on this forum.

Thanks again for your time, interest and feedback.

    Welcome!
Irridium spark plugs last 100k mi and work just as well as copper. Copper is a waste on N/A and only lasts 15k mi. Don't use Platinum.
Use 195* tstat unless you can thoroughly explain why not; 99.9% don't need a lower temp.
Almost any oil filter, ever, is of higher quality than ACDelco. Spend $6+.
