Hey all ... proud new-ish (Nov/11) owner of an 08 GXP ... just came back from a road trip down to Florida and back, LOVED the power when needed on the I-75. Anyway, I'm sure we'll have some questions and am glad to have found a place to come and ask!

    Go Jays!!!

Y'know, I was just tellin' all the guys we totally need more Canadians.

    I mean hi, hello, welcome!
Irridium spark plugs last 100k mi and work just as well as copper. Copper is a waste on N/A and only lasts 15k mi. Don't use Platinum.
Use 195* tstat unless you can thoroughly explain why not; 99.9% don't need a lower temp.
Almost any oil filter, ever, is of higher quality than ACDelco. Spend $6+.

... much as I'd love to say "yeah, we own a penthouse down in Naples, the GXP's our run-about car for down there", the sad reality is that we're about 20 years away (or a lotto win) from doing that. We bought it in Nov/11 in Kingston ON (live in London) but took it down to Fla for vacation, bought the new rims down there.

oh, well at least there was a 'for car' purchase made... lol. property there isn't even that expensive in parts to be honest, something I'd consider in the future.you need to post some pictures of your GXP and new rims then!

Will do, they're gonna get slapped on this weekend ... we're having Fla weather up here this week, kind of freakish, but I think it's safe to say there's no more snow in our near future so no further need for the Blizzaks ... until November or so ...

eh, not really my style. OEM wheels for my G8 are in my avatar pic. I'm pretty sure I'm one of the only ones in Canada with a set of these though, so if you see a G8 GT wearing these its me (gonna get arrowhead overlays for the center caps for this season):
