Hi all. I took the leap and decided to network out from my regional board into the national level. My car is currently unimpressive...just a top swapped 97 GP GT, but it's gaining some. My current build is in progress: Gen V, intercooler, XP cam, headers, exhaust...typical stuff to get it well into the 12's...with the exception it's going 5 speed with a Getrag 284. Currently, I'm focusing on the 5 speed part. I have the pedal assembly built and my next step is to pull engine, trans, and interior for the rest of the build. Progress is going slow as the car is being stored in a different state almost 400 miles away, but it gets a little more done every time I see it. I'd like to have it completed before summer. This is the only build it is going to see, so whatever it does will be it. I use the car as a daily driver, and it won't see much track time...just enough to prove to myself what it will do. I just wanted something different...and this was about the only thing I could think of minus a RWD build...and I thought about that too, but it's really not very cost effective for the benefits. Progress can be seen here:
