Hello guys I am Garry and I'm new to this forum.

Last Friday I bought a 97 Grand Prix Gt and this is my second car I have owned and bought it for $3000 with 162,000 miles on it. I think this is the best car ever. I know very little about cars but I am also learning still so yeah. The car has black tinted Windows and aftermarket radio and I am pretty sure all new speakers and is wired for subwofers if i wanted them it also has remote start. The car just needs front end aligment the car swarves to one sides when driving. And the car has no rust at all and has a v6 engine, but I would like to make it a little faster but also won't kill me in gas.

    Welcome to GPF!

If you want to make a Grand Prix faster, don't start with a 97, especially a 97 GT.

Why not a 97? I think should get the car sounding much better she sounds like she runs a tiny bit rough though.

do your regular maintanence if needed (you should check if it was done recently). 97 was the odd year. and being naturally aspirated, these engines are dogs no matter how much money you dump. they need boost to make power.

Do your research, within 5 minutes you'll find atleast 25 reeasons not to mod a 97.

25 reasons. Hmm interesting. I have a 97 and modded. I don't see the problem. The only issue on the GT I see is possibly the trans. Other than that what else is there?

The shifty looking windshield washer bottle. The double 90* bend stock intake. The cooling fans are smaller than 99 plus.

That's all I can think of
