I am the proud owner of a 2006 GXP that I purchased off of the showroom floor, probably the best car I have ever owner beside the 67 Camaro that I regretfully sold a long time ago. I just encountered some transmition problems and just wondering if anyone can help me if you know of some aftermarket parts that could strengthen the transmition. I only have 125,000 km on the car and no more warranty. So glad to join this forum and tap your brains for the tricks that make this awesome car a better ride than it alraedy is.

Thanks I will case it out! The problem that I am having is that when you take you foot out of it or downshift, it does not drag down the vehicle, RPM drops to zero and when you get your foot back into it, it feels like the torque converter is playing catch up, what type of torque convrter are you running?

Looks like my extended waranty will cover the rebuild, I will try and see if they would install the performance kit and they could throw in a transmition cooler, they better play ball on this one, I throw a lot of money in their direction. I had the rear struts go out and all I had to do was pay for the labor, so, so far so good, see what happens

stock converter is all you need.

If anything maybe install a shift kit and trans cooler.
