Oh... are black valve covers stock on 06+ GTs? Or are those painted or something?
L32 Valve Covers are black vs L67 grayish white.

Incorrect. There's plenty of L32 owners here that don't have black valve covers.
Irridium spark plugs last 100k mi and work just as well as copper. Copper is a waste on N/A and only lasts 15k mi. Don't use Platinum.
Use 195* tstat unless you can thoroughly explain why not; 99.9% don't need a lower temp.

Weird, then I wonder why every donor motor I have ever seen have Black Valve covers? Maybe it's 06+. All the donor motors I've gotten were 06+ L26 and L32's. Interesting. I know they are a different material though.

Its cool, just curious if you were after a 346 or 364.

    Regardless: Welcome.

At the same time, it could be keeping the filter clean. I don't see it starving for air on the current mods, it might be a degree or two warmer IATs if anything.
I live in the country off a very bad dirt road and it floods on my property. I'm leaving half the box in there until I move to the city. Don't want to suck up water ya know? lol

For only have a stock 3.8 pulley for the moment my Plugged M90 with the CAI screams like a banshee I didn't do it. One of the Moderators from DFWgmElite.com did it for me for $50. He cleaned, ported (very small amount), and plugged it very well. I couldn't be happier with the results. I'm soon going to take the blower back off, grind it down and paint silver and black.

Well, at least we're learning something about valve covers.

    Welcome!

You may run into problems at the track if you ever go to one with the rims you want. They usually have a rule that requires you to show your lug nuts for safety inpections.

If your sc was plugged with jb weld or something like that and not welded that's bad and could cause you to blow your motor if it ever comes loose.

You said he did it for $50 that's what makes me think he used jb weld or something. Hopefully not though.

I'm OCD and over protective of my car. I wouldn't let just anyone have hold of my parts.

And though I'm new to the forum I am not new to my car, mods and the build plans. -curtesy of slow6, gpona members and intensive research. If I have a mod in mind or a build plan its With good reason And/or only after a lot of research and questioning.
