I have a 2007 pontaic grand prix and have recently replaced my front and back brakes and the person who fixed my car had to bleed the brakes because my pedal was not tight(thinking maybe air in the line). Once doing so notice that there was no brake fluid coming from at least two of my wheels and suggested that we replace the mastercylinder. We replace it and now I am still hearing air escape when I push on my brakes and they are still not tight. Meaning I am pushing to the floor a block early in order to stop. Can someone HELP??????

    Thats just your blowoff valve

check for lose or kinked lines that may be broken,
but a pressure tester would be your best bet

Yeh bleed them ALOT!! it make take 1/4 quart to bleed just one of the rear lines out. Had the same problem when I recently replaced my brakes. I bleed the lines b/c the fluid was black. Ne way I had to go back though and bleed them all a 2nd time. I use a pump to vacuum out the fluid. You just have pump out alot of fluid it takes a while.

    Hold on..

    What exactly was replaced?

A regular brake pad and disc swap doesn't require the system to be bled unless a bleeder was opened to do the swap. And 99% of guys never do that.

If calipers were replaced, then find the one with the bleeder that is lower to the ground than the hose connection and that's either on the wrong side or is the wrong part. This would seemingly bleed properly and would still trap air in the system causing you to stop the way you are.
I drink..so consider that when reading my posts.

I replaced the rear brakes sunday and once finished we tested them and noticed that the pedal was still very soft. so he bled all the lines initially all were good except rear passenger side was a trickle. so we repalced the master cylinber. after repalcing it we went back and bled the lines again and now perfect flow from two and a trickle out of the others and there is black stuff coming out of one. and my pedal is way to soft. takes a lot for me to stop. No calipers were repalced
