Hey everyone, got a couple questions on a fully loaded 05 gtp im looking at. The car looks to be in really good shape, with the expect dings, and chips. There are a couple things that concern me though, the drivers side door speaker seems to crackle and buzz when the car is on and changes frequencys when buttons are pushed and rpm of motor. Its only the drivers side, and the used car lot said its a speaker wire.

I talked them down to 7,098 out the door tax title license. The car has 130xxx miles on it and seemed to drive good, the rims are in really bad shape (ugly) and the tires are about 50-60% wore. Does the price seem decent? Any ideas on the buzzing speaker (plays clearly with music, so know its not blown). I looked at lower intake gaskets, looked good, wernt leaking, interior is in great shape, oils and fluids looked clean and full, battery looked newer.

    Thanks

    Cody

    Welcome....
The buzzing is probably a bad ground...? Does it change pitch with the RPMs of the car?
Its just a car.......with rust and dreams for the future!!!!

Price does seem kinda high for the mileage. Having to replace a door speaker or wire isn't a big deal, but I'd be concerned with the trans. Depending on how it was driven it could be near the end of it's life. I'd look for one with lower mileage and let someone else gamble on that one.

If its a compg, I think it would be well worth it, aren't the 05s pretty rare?
