Whats up everyone? Just stopping in to check out the new forum. I'm sure many of you recognize me, I used to have a silvermist GTP, which I demodded and traded in on my sunset orange Z28 M6 last summer. It had a ZZP HL cam, 3.2 pulley, Pector PEMs, 3" downpipe, GMPP catback, GMPP Konis, and F-body brakes.

    My old hoopty:

Thanks everyone. I am debating trading in the Durango in the spring for another GTP as a daily driver. Even after going through a tranny and four motors before trading it in on the Z, I still miss the old girl lol. I think a redfire GTP would look awful nice parked next to a sunset orange Camaro.

Welcome to the site it is good to have you here. I have to agree those are some really nice rides.

In fact, if you still have some pictures of you GTP, they would make a wonderful addition to the screen saver project if you would like to participate.

Thanks. Absolutely, I have a bunch of nice ones at decent resolution here: Reid's 2000 Pontiac Grand Prix GTP - I also have these same ones at full resolution on my hard drive if you like any and want to use them.

The GTP pics were taken with a crappy 4-5 year old Sony Cybershot point-and-shoot actually lol. The ones of the Z were taken with my Panasonic Lumix el cheapo point-and-shoot. The ones of the Durango were with my friends borrowed Canon Digital Rebel SLR, which I think you can tell pretty easily they look much more brilliant and crisp compared to the GTP and Z28 pics. Most of it was just cleaned up in Photoshop, but I appreciate the compliments!

Crap dude. You need to get yo a camera and explore some. If you can get pics to look that clean and professional with less than ideal gear, Id love to see what you could do with a couple good tools.

And I got your PM, thanks.

    Welcome man!

    Nice rides.

My daily beater is the company work truck, a 2004 Ram 1500. Got to love those 4.7L's though I have heard they have the nasty habit of having leaky head gaskets. Mines been good to me...pushing 220K miles on it, and the most major expensive thing the company has had to replace on it is 2 sets of tires, 2 sets of brakes, and a right front wheel bearing.

Yeah I am pretty happy with the 4.7L myself. I just bought it in October with 103K on the clock (at 107K now). The only thing I heard about was a sludge problem with these motors. I have to investigate into it more, but I'm not too worried about anything with it.

Oh boy, another forum on Reid's list to pic-whore his photoshoots.

Edit: BTW, Reid's photoshopping skills are great, he made my sig.....which reminds me, it's 2 years old now, time for another one?

Welcome Reid! I'll second the vote for a Redfire GTP if that's the route you decide to go. Redfire is the best color on these cars.

BTW, I may have to enlist you PS skills for a sig at some point.
