Just bought a white 1997 GTP four door last Tuesday. It has 190k miles on it, but has full maintenance records and I can tell it has been well taken care of. All new tires, lights, hoses, wires, all fluids flushed, ac compressor replaced, etc etc. Interior is in very good shape given the age, with just a little sun damage to the dash board. Only issues are it has some rock dings and door dents that bug me, needs an EGR valve, and the previous owner said it will soon need rear struts.

I got it for 3600, and I couldn't be happier!

The OP didn't over pay. He felt the car was worth that amount. Just like you felt your sh1box was worth $2500 "One Up."

Congrats on the purchase and I'm glad to hear you got a GP that was well taken care of. What are your plans with it?

In my area, this is well below what they have been selling for. In similar condition they are going for around 4500.

I don't have a whole lot in the way of plans for it at the moment. Right now I want to replace the EGR, get the rock dings and mirror taken care of, and if I really need struts to replace them as well. I also need to upgrade the sound system ASAP as the stock one leaves a lot to be desired.

This is the nicest car I have owned, so I just plan on enjoying it and taking good care of it.

Do you mean the rearview mirror? Is it all crappy looking? a lot of them do that the fluid leaks out of it. The egr is a pretty simple fix just a couple of bolts and a gasket, rear struts are pretty easy too if they do actually need them.

No, the driver's side mirror had been replaced at some point and the white paint isn't the same as the rest of the car. Just bothers me.
