Well wat can I say I bought a white 97 gtp coupe 3 months I love the car already gave me a problem waterpump went bad but simple fix took me 45 mins to replace that. But anyways I've always messed around with g body cars I own a 79 cutlass with a builted up 305 jus a simple lunati voodoo cam in it shorty header pipes full exhaust edelbrock intake edelbrock 600cfm darn th350 with shift kit limited slip rearend wit 3.08 gearing then I own a 82 cutlass calias with a 350 sbc in it th350 but 2.73 gears in that does burn the tires but need better gearing I've rebuilt all my blocks I've had in my rides and I'm thinking about rebuilding this 3.8 motor soon cause it just needs more power lol since being a gtp owner I've gotten a lot of attention by the ricer kids nice to beat them but the gtp has no top end but that's typical of a roots style charger sure cam upgrade and small pulley will help that out well nice to meet you guys

    welcome.

Leave the bottom end stock, dont take it apart, it will handle alot more than you think. Guys on 500+ hp turbo setups run stock bottom ends.

A cam, some head work and smaller pulley, more injectors and proper tune will make for a pretty fast grocery getter.

There's no reason to rebuild the block ever. Throw some mods at it and it can be a quick sedan.
