    Hello folks,

Looking for a little advice on reattaching a rear view mirror on a 1999 Grand Prix GT.
It just fell off it's mount on the way to work this morning....and just two more payments I have gotten as far and purchasing the install glue and have mounted that piece on the windshield. Now for the hard part, There is no screw, but a clip that must wrap around and attach everything together. How do I get that clip on with out shattering the windshield. I have sat here and messed with it and I can't even get the clip on by hand. I feel if I even attemp to install this, I will be buying a new windshield.
    Any advice will be welcome.

    Welcome to the community.

Yeah, I believe it just slides down on button. On mine though i think there was a set screw to keep it tight to the button but I know that the non-Onstar mirrors were a little different.

Welcome. I believe they're right, just slides on and snaps into place. Mine kept falling off also. Had no luck with the glue from the auto part stores, although 3 punch 15's might have had something to do with that, but just to give you a heads up on the glue.

    Ok, you guys are awsome.
I first mistake was taking the clip off. I had to beat it back on with a hammer, then slid the entire mirror back on 90% of the way, then eased it on the rest of the way with a hammer a screwdriver. Very nice.

    Thanks so Much
