Don't think I ever saw you last year, but there are a few other GP guys that go out there.

I only made it out there once last year, it was toward the end of the season. I was in the Formula. I'll bring out the GP when the weather gets nicer, I'd like to look at some other GP's to get ideas.

Overall, I don't think I'm going to spend more than $1000 on the GTP, I really don't want to lose money if/when I decide to sell it. I've made a profit on the last 3 vehicles I've sold, so I kinda want to keep the trend going, it allows me the opportunity to upgrade. . . lol

Wouldn't it be nice if I were able to sell this one for $1k more than I paid for it, and buy a newer GTP, or throw some more money in and get a GXP or something? lol

yeah, i'd try and talk you out of getting the GXP though, unless you go for the g8. FWD v8 is just fail. I guess its good though if you use it as a DD but I'm not fond of them. I used to have a 94 GP that I put GXP badges on, lol.

Odd, I have a '98 GTP that I'm thinking about taking the badges off of. lol

My Formula was basically a sleeper. . . The Z28 is too, the badges are body color, can't tell it's a Z28 unless you're really looking for the badges. The Monte Carlo, well, it doesn't have badges, but a cammed BBC with 3" dual exhaust isn't going to be quiet any way you put it, and the bright yellow paint and black racing stripes aren't doing it any favors as far as "stealth" is concerned. lol

The GTP is a VERY sleek looking car, and although the interior color isn't my first choice, and it's lacking a sunroof, it's really starting to grow on me.

I would be the one looking for the badges lol. I'm looking to get a 98-02 WS6 soon. Possibly an LS1 z28 but we'll see about that.

and that gen GP is sexy. I don't like the pre gen's and I don't like the current. GM did something right with 97-03's.

That's the group I'm usually with, Michigan F-Body Association, I've been a member since it started. Great group of people.

What's the demographic where you hang out? Pretty diverse group?

Meh, basically. There are some kids, and d-bags, but for the most part everyone is civilized. Usually the parking lot fills up and there are tons of cars to look at.

Let me know when you're going to be out there, and I'll try to make it. I want to wait until I get the body and paint work done on the car, I'm going to get started as soon as the weather is warm enough to start spraying. . .
