Been reading post on this place for almost a year I have no idea why I didn't join sooner because literly everytime I'm looking up how to do somthing or other I always ended up here. So hi, I look forward to finally being able to talk to people who know. My first realationship with a grand prix is kind of a funny story.
It was about 13 years ago I think I was still in preschool anyways my dad came to pick me up and out in the parking lot was this brand new shiny, sporty looking car, and my dad kept looking at it and saying how nice it was then he was like look the keys are in it. My dad then quickly throws me in the back seat and drives off like a batt out of hell. I then of course started crying and asking my dad what he was doing and telling him it was wrong to steal etc... Of course it was his car and for some reason he found it fit to make a four year old think he stole it...
Anyway that was one of the niceset cars my dad ever had when ever he talks about it he always says how that was the only time in his life he got to buy a car that was 100% what he wanted he talked about how he called dealer to dealer saying this is what I want and this is what I wana pay for it. He did that for a few months and ment a dealer named Ross and even he said thats not very likly but ill look around the very next day he called up and said I have your car. It was a 1998 metallic green gtp with all the options (I guess it was hard to come by that color with those options idk) anyways we had that thing for 2 years before he traded it in and got a 2000 3/4 ton silverado funny thing is he paid 32,000 for that gtp only got 11,000 trade in.
So the years went on untill 2006 during that big Gm sale when my mom wanted to get a vibe or somthing funny thing is that after test driving the vibe my dad was like no way then he drove som g6s even the gtp and once again was like no then they came how with this really pretty grand prix at that point in my life I didn't pay much attention to car had no clue they even made them anymore lol. So my dad got a new car and my mom didn't get one untill about 2 years ago.
So when I turned 16 and started looking for cars just like every other teenager looking for a car I had stupid ideas of what I wanted and what was nice and what wasn't anyways i never really planed on getting a grand prix but after getting one I am so glad i didn't get one of the cars I was looking for because compared to a grand prix there garbage. So Ross the guy that sold my dad the first two grand prixs knowing I was looking for a car called my dad up and told him he had a real nice car that just got traded in so we went and looked at it and test drove it and i decided this was my car It was a 2002 gt with all the top options leather, Bose, HUD, everything and it had belonged to some old retired people so it was garage stored its whole life only 50,000 miles had new tires new battery ready to go for the next 4 years plus it came with a warranty got it all for 7300 before taxes would have probly gone up to 8-9 if they put it on the lot so thats how I got my car for those of you who read all of this thanks lol.
