    Hey,

I'm going to buy a 99 -2002 GT or GTP.I really like the idea of a Supercharger but considering I'm looking at a 9 to 11 year old car that has anywhere from 180,000 to 280,000km's on it, should I avoid the GTP and related cost's and repair issue's??? I don't care about the extra cost of premium gas.I just don't want to buy a lemon as most of them come uncertified.I've heard some people love them with limited problem's ,while other's curse them with problem after problem.
    Anyone have any advice???
    Thank's

Go with the gtp. You'll thank yourself. Or if you want to, you can buy a GT and if you decide down the road you'd like a little more, you can top swap it.

Very much so...possible knock from years of regular gas use could have damaged things internally that they might not know about.

Also, look into getting one that was driven casually, and well maintained. You don't want one some beats on daily.

Ya, that's what I thought.Trouble ,not too many people admit how often they beat on their car's and as most of the one's I can find are high miler's.I guess the best I can do is go for the one's that say "mostly highway"....

Pretty much...just make sure before you buy it there isn't an excess of sludge built up around the lower intake/fuel injectors under the engine cover...that means there is a pretty good chance the LIM gaskets are shot and coolant is leaking in the motor...no bueno.

Very Helpful! Would I have to remove the engine cover to see or feel the sludge?

I'd look for a 2000 GTP, since it was the last year for automatic air in the best body style.
